The project “Diritti senza confini – Comunità in relazione contro la violenza di omolesbobiatransfobica” addresses a significant gap in gender‑based violence protection services for the LGBTQIA+ community (estimated at 8,500–9,200 people) in the suburban ASL4 area of the Liguria Regional Health System, marked by territorial fragmentation, difficulties in accessing services, and the absence of dedicated support structures. The number of LGBTQIA+ individuals accessing TDCA anti-violence centre (CAV) and CUAV services highlights a substantial hidden phenomenon and the presence of logistical and cultural barriers that hinder the emergence of needs. The project aims to strengthen collaboration between CAV and CUAV to ensure that these services become fully inclusive, through two integrated components:
Line 1: Strengthening services and professional skills (capacity sharing). This includes two specialised training courses for TDCA and CUAV staff, and a seminar for local stakeholders. It also foresees the development of an operational protocol between TDCA and Liguria Pride ODV for managing complex cases, overcoming geographical barriers. An experiential educational game will be produced, designed to be innovative and replicable. Line 2: Awareness‑raising and cultural change. This will be achieved through audiovisual content and a multichannel digital campaign (reels, posts, graphics) in collaboration with Carega Web Radio. Activities include a public conference in Chiavari for the International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHOBIT), participation in Liguria Pride Genova 2026, and a Queer Night event, “LET’S DANCE”, open to the local community in Chiavari. The expected impact includes improved equity and accessibility of services, increased visibility of the needs of LGBTQIA+ people currently remaining hidden, enhanced support for complex cases, a reduction in stereotypes, and the strengthening of the local network. Ultimately, the project contributes to creating welcoming environments, fostering social cohesion, and offering sustainable responses to gender‑based violence.
