9 Project Proposals – out of 21 Proposals – Approved and Funded.
The first selection phase of the 21 project proposals submitted by the first deadline of the Connecting Spheres call, on January 31, 2025, has been concluded. After the administrative check process by the Technical Committee, 11 proposals were considered eligible and sent for further evaluation by the Selection Committee. At the end of the evaluation process, 9 project proposals were approved and will be funded. CSOs participated in three Streams foresees by the call, with a total allocated budget of € 395,783.02.
The project ideas involve 17 civil society organisations and 13 associated partners. The areas of intervention chosen by the partnerships are diverse: from reception and support services for LGBTQIA+ people who have survived and/or are at risk of gender-based violence, to training in public services and schools, strengthening the work of activists, combating gender stereotypes in artistic and sports fields, to policy and advocacy actions at local and international level. Specifically, activities will be implemented in the Italian regions of Lazio (4), Umbria (1), Piemonte (2), Puglia (1), Emilia-Romagna (1), and for the Stream 3 activities will also be carried out in Spain, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, and Finland.
Connecting Spheres call deadlines 2025
Next deadlines of the call to receive new project proposals, including those that did not pass the first round of selection, are foreseen on May 31 and September 30, 2025. The remaining available budget is € 276,240 for Stream 1; € 197,694 for Stream 2; and € 130,283.50 for Stream 3.
